Support Herreshoff Marine Museum
Our mission is to educate and inspire the public through presentations of the history and innovative work of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the America’s Cup competition.
The Museum exhibits Herreshoff yachts, models, historic photographs, steam engines, and artifacts related to America’s greatest naval architect and builder during “The Golden Age of Yachting”.
The America’s Cup Hall of Fame is located on the grounds of the former Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, where yachts were built for eight consecutive America’s Cup defenses between 1893 and 1934. Its collection includes plaques and photographs honoring the inductees; half-hull models of challengers and defenders; artifacts including spars, steering wheels, and tank test model hulls; and special exhibits about the Cup.

Support HMM Initiatives
Each sailing season inspires the sailor in each of us, generating new and exciting ideas. Staff and volunteers at the Museum are lining up for an even stronger season with renewed commitment as we continue to improve our exhibits and our campus.
You can help us fulfill our mission of education and inspiration with a gift that can help us do so much: preserve more of our collection of historic photographs and documents; bring more school groups to the museum; offer more sailing scholarships for underprivileged children; and much more.
Your support can make all the difference as we seek to preserve the Herreshoff legacy for marine and industrial innovation, and develop a sustainable institution that educates, entertains and inspires the public.

Endowments
The latest endowment gift to the Museum was given to help preserve and support the classic 12 1/2 sailboat used for the youth and adult sailing programs.
Marjorie Freeman “Peggy” Dixon spent her early years summering at Poppasquash Point in Bristol devoting many happy hours to sailing her family’s Herreshoff 12 1/2 “FROLIC”In her honor and with love and admiration her family wishes to establish an endowment fund to preserve the boats of which she was so fond, to be known as the “Museum Fund for the preservation and maintenance of Herreshoff 12 1/2 sailboats.”
Income from the fund is to be permanently restricted to the physical preservation and maintenance, in “Bristol Fashion” of Herreshoff 12 1/2’s operated in Bristol, Rhode Island by the Herreshoff Marine Museum.
This fund was created by her family to honor Marjorie Freeman “Peggy” Dixon.

Cisco
Sponsor
Nantucket Vineyard was the first arm of our business opening in the early 1980’s as a small project of the Long Family. After a few years, Winery employees ended up falling in love with the wine and each other, and voila! – Cisco Brewers was born on the Hudson’s stovetop in 1995. Whispers of a brewery floated on the Nantucket wind, catching the ear of a few people, including a Mr. Harman. Using the previously tested and proven formula of starting a business from another business, Winery and Brewery employees enjoyed a few glasses / pints (respectively) together and hatched the idea for Triple Eight Distillery in 2000. All three businesses are constantly evolving, and we now produce a wide variety of world-class wines, beers, and spirits. Come out and enjoy our Nantucket haven- just prepare yourself in case your mind blows up from all the awesomeness.
