Make your event truly memorable in the Hall of Boats at HMM.
The Museum has a variety of unique indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate groups from 25 up to 200 guests year-round. In Fall and Winter we use industrial heaters to keep your party toasty in the coldest of weather. Located on the ground floor inside the Museum and fully handicap accessible, the Hall of Boats is the heart of the Herreshoff collection, and it is a special place to infuse your dinner or reception with a unique vibe. In this impressive space, your party will take place among more than a dozen spectacular antique wooden boats, all built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company. Many boats are on wheeled platforms that can be moved to accommodate and customize events of any size or configuration. We can host up to 125 people for a seated dinner or up to 250 for cocktails. A projection screen is available per your request. Tables and chairs are always included.

Share the astonishing beauty of New England’s marine coast and enjoy our unique panoramic view of Narragansett Bay. The waterfront at the Herreshoff Marine Museum is perfect for every occasion. From weddings and reunions to birthday parties or corporate events, our waterfront space is perfect for nearly any occasion. Our Waterfront rental rate includes a 5 hour event rental plus 3 hour set up and teardown, exclusive use of our 60′ x 90′ tent with basic lighting, ceremony space, bride’s changing room, deluxe restroom trailer, electric power, guest use of our waterside quays and always tables and chairs. Weather permitting; the waterfront is available mid-May through early October. The Waterfront can host groups up to 400 people, seated dinners up to 300 people or 250 people with a dance floor. Wedding ceremonies and photoshoots can also be held outside on the waterfront pier, lawn, or next-door public park alongside the water.
