Between 2005 and 2016, the Herreshoff Marine Museum's "Classic Yacht Symposium" brought together passionate sailors, yacht designers, boat builders, restoration shops and historians to explore and preserve the legacy of classic yachting. By making these and technical papers widely accessible, the museum reaffirms its commitment to preserving maritime heritage. We hope that sharing this documentation of the craft and tradition of wooden boat building continues to inspire future generations. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the inaugural CYS, these papers will be made available as a part of HMM's digital archive with new installments released monthly. This initiative underscores our commitment to preserving and sharing this rich repository of knowledge for future generations of maritime enthusiasts.
