The Paul Del Nero Quintet

August 15, 2024 6:00 pm

This year Paul brings his new quintet to the Herreshoff Museum's Summer Sunset Concert Series. This group will be playing music from one the most exciting decades, when jazz and blues collided to form melodies that truly float above the infectious groove. The quintet features Jeff Stout on trumpet, Arnie Krakowsky on tenor saxophone, Jon Wheatley on guitar, Marty Richards on drums and Paul on bass. And it promises to be a swinging evening of straight ahead jazz under the tent at sunset on Herreshoff's beautiful waterfront. Paul Del Nero has a deep appreciation and talent not only for classic jazz, but also for classic yachts designed and built in this same period. He has owned the Herreshoff S Boat, "VINDEX" for the past 26 years, and he continues to sail and race her on Narragansett Bay. Please do come to this concert and enjoy the music overlooking lovely Bristol Harbor. And as always, thanks for your support!

Concerts will be held under the tent on the HMM Waterfront, rain or shine. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs, but we also provide tables, chairs, and picnic tables on-site for your convenience. Restrooms are available as well. Please note that online ticket sales close at 3:30pm on the day of the event. Full series passes are available for Museum Members Only from any concert's ticket page. Reliance Society and Afterguard Members can attend at no cost by RSVPing ahead of time. For more information, check out our Music Series FAQ.
