First week in October 2019

The lads were anxious to place our engine into the boat. We used the same chain fall set-up as we did for turning the boat. We used a double and then triple chain fall hoist. First, the chain fall nearest the engine was hauled up raising the engine above deck level. Then the chain fall on the other side of the boat was hauled while slowly releasing the first one. This brought the engine centerline to the boat - much like a set of cargo booms on an old fashioned freighter. A third set of chain falls positioned aft was hooked on. Hauling it while slacking the other two brought the engine over its mountings. Easy-peasy except for coordinating amongst the haulers; especially if they have the same name.

Center-line water tank has been fitted and one of the four coal bins has been placed inside as well.
