Postponed: “Exploring the History and Cuisine of Local Waters” with Sarah Schumann

May 21, 2020 6:00 pm

Local fisherman and writer Sarah Schumann will share the inspiration behind her recent books Simmering the Sea (2018) and Rhode Island's Shellfish Heritage (2015). We'll dive beneath the waves to learn about the unique characters in our edible ocean ecosystems and travel back in time to learn about the unique characters who shaped Narragansett Bay's legendary shellfish industry. Learn how to "eat like a fish" and celebrate the people who catch and grow our seafood. Both books are available for a combined price of $20. All the proceeds from book sales benefit the nonprofit Eating with the Ecosystem.
