[Bristol, RI - May 30, 2023] - The Herreshoff Marine Museum (HMM), Risk Strategies – Gowrie Group, and PURE Insurance are proud to announce that they have extended their multiyear partnership to support important programming, events, and regattas at the Museum throughout 2023 and beyond. Gowrie Group is a subsidiary of Risk Strategies.

Gowrie Group and PURE will continue their sponsorship at the Silver Level supporting key Herreshoff Museum programming including the Frostbite Bash, the Reliance Society Reception, the HMM Lecture Series, and the Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta & Living Boat Show.

As the Herreshoff Marine Museum’s insurance provider and risk management partner since 2016, Gowrie Group has always played an important role in protecting the Museum and the Museum’s boats, historic yachts, fine arts, employees, and visitors. Gowrie Group also offers comprehensive insurance protection to members and friends of the Museum, including risk management advice and insurance solutions for family offices, homes & vacation properties, boats & classic yachts, autos & collector cars, planes, equine interests, and more.

“We’re really thankful to have partners like Gowrie Group and PURE, they are great companies as are the people we work with,” said Herreshoff Marine Museum President & Executive Director Bill Lynn. “Sponsorships helps us deliver great programming and an awesome visitor experience, which is really important to us.”

PURE Insurance is a friend and supporter of the Museum and the Classic Yacht community. They have partnered with Gowrie Group to bring the Classic Yacht Insurance Program to owners of classic wooden yachts, an insurance product of particular importance to many of the museum’s supporters and regatta participants.

The Classic Yacht Insurance Program is designed to meet the unique coverage needs of discerning wooden boat owners. Available to qualifying classic yachts made of wood or cold molded wood, this comprehensive marine insurance offering includes many valuable policy enhancements such as no survey requirement, paint both sides coverage, consequential damage, claims repair work by specialists, and enhanced hurricane haul coverage. This program is managed by Risk Strategies – Gowrie Group and underwritten by PURE Insurance.

Whitney Peterson, Director of Marketing & Partnerships at Gowrie Group – Risk Strategies, shared, “We are proud to sponsor the Herreshoff Marine Museum and support their inspiring education programs, ongoing marine preservation efforts, and Annual Classic Yacht regatta. We are excited to continue our engagement with the Museum, their members, and the surrounding maritime community.”

Museum patrons and community members alike can experience programming supported by Gowrie Group and PURE Insurance by attending one of the museum’s monthly lectures or experiencing the Herreshoff Living Boat Show held during the Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta at the end of August.
