The Herreshoff Marine Museum and America’s Cup Hall of Fame (Museum) will celebrate five decades of collection, preservation, interpretation and education as a nonprofit maritime institution. Dedicated to the internationally-recognized legacy of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the contributions made by the Herreshoff family to the advancement of engineering, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and performance, the Museum is located in Bristol, Rhode Island on a historic waterfront campus to include several original Herreshoff company buildings.

Central to this Herreshoff 50 Jubilee is the involvement of Herreshoff boat owners past and present including all Spirit of Tradition boats, L. Francis Herreshoff, A. Sidney DeW. Herreshoff and Halsey C. Herreshoff designs, shipwrights, chroniclers, and yacht club fleets that have ensured Herreshoff as a living legacy. Equally important to this celebration are the Museum board members, volunteers, and donors, along with members of the America’s Cup Hall of Fame and its Selection Committee.

The Museum is pleased to announce that the Honorary Chairs of the Herreshoff 50 Jubilee are Halsey C. Herreshoff and Nathanael G. Herreshoff III, grandsons of Captain Nathanael G. Herreshoff. Along with their parents, A. Sidney DeW. and Rebecca C. Herreshoff, they are credited with contributing significantly to the Museum’s collection, facility development and operations.
