Building Futures: How HMM's STEM Education Transforms Lives
As we close out 2024, the Herreshoff Museum celebrates a year of growth and learning. Our commitment to hands-on STEM education has brought sailing, boat building, and composites training to over 350 young people this year alone, many with full or partial scholarships thanks to your support.
In this video celebrating our progress, alumni share the lasting impact of these programs. Sailing instructor Kaia Dickeson recalls the joy of teaching on a classic Herreshoff 12½, while boatbuilding alum Collin Thomas speaks of the "get-your-hands-dirty" experience that shaped his career. Oliver Moore, co-founder of Moore Brothers, highlights how skills learned here build not only craftsmanship but confidence.
Your gift fuels these programs that empower and inspire the next generation of problem solvers. Visit our campus, meet our students, and see how your support makes a difference. Join us in sparking curiosity and building the future. Thank you for your generosity.
