Lunch cruise on RUGOSA for eight people.

Halsey Herreshoff's yacht RUGOSA is a Herreshoff New York Yacht Club 40. The principal dimensions are:  LOA 59'   LWL 40'   Beam 14'   Draft 8'4". RUGOSA has a distinguished record. She won the Bermuda Race in 1928. She has been cruised and raced extensively. For many years under Scandinavian owners she migrated back and forth between Stockholm and Antigua. Under Halsey's ownership since  1986, RUGOSA has won the Museum of Yachting Classic Yacht Regatta, Figawi Race and numerous other events, generally in Classic Divisions but including numerous squadron runs of the New York Yacht Club. In 2001, Halsey and friends sailed the yacht from Bristol to the south of England where she triumphed over 57 other classic yachts to win that America's Cup Jubilee series. After that, cruises ensued to the Baltic, St. Petersburg Russia, Helsinki Finland, Copenhagen Denmark, western Sweden and western Norway including the Sognafjord. RUGOSA continued on to the Orkney Islands, Loch Ness, Irish Sea, Belfast and Dublin before sailing down around Spain to Gibraltar. Two years in the Mediterranean featured racing in Cannes and St, Tropez plus cruising to the Greek Islands and observation of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Since then, there has been another Atlantic crossing, extensive cruising in the Caribbean, and return to Bristol. RUGOSA is "Shipshape and Bristol Fashion" moored off the Herreshoff Marine Museum from which location there are frequent outings and races.
